The beautiful island of Skyros is located in the Aegean sea and is part of the chain of Greek islands known as the Sporades. Skyros however is positioned south of the islands of Skopelos, Skiathos and Alonissos, and is to the north east of Evia island.

You can reach Skyros by sea or air. There is a frequent ferry service that connects Skyros with the port of Kymi on the island of Evia. Skyros also has connections with the other islands of the Sporades. Evia is very easy to reach from Athens and is just an hour from the capital by car. There are national bus services to Kymi from Athens and other main cities of Greece.

There is also an airport which is located in the north of Skyros and which caters for domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki, as well charter flights during the summer months from a number of European cities.

Skyros is a very beautiful island and one that offers a wonderful array of lovely coastal towns such as the famous resorts of Magazia and Molos which are both connected by the famous long sandy beach. The capital town of Chora is located on the top of the hill that overlooks Magazia and Molos, and it is a very interesting and nice town to visit.

Skyros is blessed with magical landscapes and scenery and is an island where nature thrives. During the spring and summer months the island is very colourful with blossoming flowers and plants found on every corner.
